The Morning After

Waking up on Friday August 26 the world around me was almost silent. We got dressed and left in the car with our cameras to assess the damage and destruction. Driving around Hollywood Florida and Dania Florida we found damage all around us. You can see some of the hurricane Katrina wrath and damage in our pictures.

There were trees down everywhere. When stopping at a friends home, he had alot of damage. There was a tree crushing an SUV on one street, and the next block over someone nice new Lexus has a tree on it from trunk to hood. I am pretty sure that family wasn't very happy

Many streets were closed due to trees and power lines being down. Hurricane Katrina had knocked out power to over 300,000 people and taken 11 lives. Police officers were at almost every intersection directing traffic.

This hurricane didn't spare much in it's path.
